    Al Warnock, June 1999 - December 2010 

    Al started his law enforcement career in 1990 with the Reserve program in Minnehaha County while serving with the USAF, retiring from the Air Force after 22 years of service.  He completed the Law Enforcement Academy in August 1994 and started working for the City of Canton in 1995.  Al completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in management (Criminal Justice Major) with local universities and works in academia as well as law enforcement.  He is a member of the International Association of Identification (IAI) and the South Dakota Division of the IAI.  He retired from the Canton PD in December 2010.

    Darrell Nelson

    Darrell was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County.  He worked in the Law Enforcement field for 21 years, including 15 years as a Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff. 

    Albert 'Curly' Knorr

     

    This is an old news article showing Canton Police Chief Albert 'Curly' Knorr arresting a wanted fugitive in Canton.  The criminal, Albert Winkler, was wanted out of several states for various crimes.
